Last Thursday, October 12th, Skyweaver released its update, “Armed and Ready.” This update introduces new hero abilities that promise to shake up the game and add fresh strategic depth to this beloved browser-based cross-platform card game.
New Hero Abilities
Axel Hero Ability — Fate’s Fortune
In “Armed and Ready,” Axel joins the ranks of Skyweaver heroes with a remarkable new ability, “Fate’s Fortune.” This ability offers Axel players a strategic choice: either restore his own health to avoid danger or take a more daring approach by sacrificing some health to draw an additional card.
“Fate’s Fortune” seamlessly integrates into Axel’s defensive and resource-oriented gameplay style. It grants Axel the power to accumulate the resource that suits the situation best. Facing aggressive decks, he can regain health, while against slower opponents, he can gain the upper hand in card advantage by trading health. This versatile ability can be activated three times per game and costs only 1 mana to use.
Mira Hero Ability — A.R.M.E.D.
Mira, the ingenious inventor, introduces her latest creation, the “Autonomous Robotic Mobile Emergency Defenses” or “A.R.M.E.D.” for short. With this ability, Mira can use her Mech Suit in combat, delivering powerful punches right into enemy lines. What’s more, Mira’s innovative spirit shines through as she iteratively improves her robotic arms with each one that breaks in battle.
“A.R.M.E.D.” perfectly complements Mira’s midrange playstyle, providing extra units to apply pressure aggressively or combat opposing threats. Each time an arm is destroyed, it buffs all future arms by +1/+1 for the remainder of the game, allowing for a quick one-two punch strategy. To use this formidable ability, Mira needs 6 mana, and she can employ it up to three times per game.
