Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has unveiled a four-year roadmap to make Ethereum fully quantum-resistant by 2029. He identified four key vulnerabilities and planned seven network forks to fix them.
Buterin revealed that four vulnerabilities have been identified and in response, seven network forks have been scheduled.

This comes a couple of weeks after Strategy chairman Michael Saylor officially acknowledged that quantum risks may plague Bitcoin in the long term. He also revealed that the company is already making strides towards future-proofing against quantum risks.
However, Buterin doesn’t think Quantum computers are a threat, as most of what people call quantum computers are actually “quantum adiabatic computers.” According to Buterin, these computers can’t really do anything interesting, like break cryptography.
The building blocks already exist, setting Ethereum price up for a potential rally. This move has investors bidding on Ethereum again, as it positions the network as the unbreakable layer in crypto’s future wars.
Reid Hoffman Doubles Down on ETH
The LinkedIn founder, Reid Hoffman, has gone long on ETH. Arkham data shows he holds $6.1 million in ETH, plus a Cryptopunk snagged for 150 ETH last year.

Meanwhile, his old PayPal buddy Elon Musk bets big on BTC with Tesla and SpaceX’s $1.3 billion stash, Hoffman’s play screams confidence in ETH’s utility. When billionaires stack bags like this, degens take note, ETH ain’t just hype.
Amid the renewed optimism, the Fear & Greed Index has jumped from 11 to 16 in 24 hours, marking the first major sentiment turnaround this February after hitting a five-year low.
Still in extreme fear territory, but this tick up hints at bottoms forming. Smart money has started positioning as panic eases.
On the price front, ETH has rebounded 10% recently, pushing above $2,000 after testing $1,800 support. Resistance sits at $2,155, and if it breaks, ETH could eye $2,200 short-term. Cumulative leverage crossed $1 billion in longs, risking liquidation if support cracks.
Vitalik’s vision has lit a fire under ETH, blending tech armor with whale bets and sentiment flips.
