Twitter has introduced a new cryptocurrency tool that enables users to look up the price of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) by just inputting their names or tickers into the search tab.
The price Chart Feature is Now Available on Twitter
In a thread of tweets on Wednesday, Twitter declared that it is now offering price charts for cryptocurrencies, popular stocks, and Exchange-traded funds.
On Twitter’s official account, it was said that “Whenever you tweet with the ticker of a stock or cryptocurrency with a $ (like $BTC), Exchange-traded fund ETF, Bigstock, and People can access a clickable link that directs users to search results that now feature pricing graphs for certain symbols” according to the official Twitter Business account, who also added:
“These search results will now feature pricing graphs for significant symbols”
More improvements will be made to the Features
The icon on the picture suggests that Twitter is collecting the information from the TradingView website, as app investigator Jane Manchun Wong pointed out. The social media platform has not specified whether it is collaborating in any way on a business level with TradingView or Robinhood.
The list of symbols for direct asset prices search engine results on Twitter is not expressly stated. The organization claimed that it would improve the user interface and introduce greater symbol support over the next few weeks. For instance, the Twitter search did not provide the stock values of firms like Airbnb ($ABNB) and Zoom ($ZM) at the time of writing.
