- TRON DAO will ring the closing bell at Cboe Global Markets in Chicago on Tuesday to commemorate the successful launch of Canary Capital’s TRX ETF.
- This follows another milestone the chain achieved last week, as it surpassed $30 trillion in total transfer volume.
TRON DAO, the decentralized autonomous organization overseeing the TRON (TRX) blockchain, is celebrating major milestones as September comes to an end. One of them is ringing the closing bell at Cboe Global Markets on Tuesday.
TRON Ringing Cboe’s Closing Bell
The Cboe Global Market’s closing time and bell are at 4:00 PM ET. During that time, TRON DAO will take its trading floor in Chicago to ring the closing bell.
According to TRON DAO’s announcement, the event celebrates the successful listing of the Canary Staked TRX Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF), an investment product giving investors exposure to TRX, TRON’s native utility token. Launched on September 9 at the Cboe, the fund has already accumulated over $50.39 million in net assets with a $24.82 Net Asset Value (NAV) as of Monday’s market close.
TRX ETF trades like a traditional stock while giving holders exposure to its underlying crypto asset without worrying about token custody or navigating the complex landscape of decentralized exchanges. It stands out because of its staking feature, which offers passive rewards on top of TRX’s potential price appreciation.
TRXS’s listing on the Cboe reflects strong institutional approval of the investment product. Additionally, its rapid growth, shown by its net asset accrual in a matter of weeks, highlights a growing appetite among mainstream investors for TRX and yield-bearing digital assets in general.
What’s more, many see TRON’s symbolic ringing of the ceremonial closing bell at the Cboe as a moment cementing its integration into traditional capital markets.
Surpassing the $30T in Transfer Volume
The occasion comes hot on the heels of another achievement unlocked by TRON. Last week, the chain already crossed the $30 trillion threshold in total transfer volume.
The figures mark a major leap from the $20 trillion milestone TRON reached in August 2025 and the $10 trillion milestone it surpassed in January 2024. It’s worth noting that the chain is not even a decade old, having launched only in May 2018.
TRON has carved out a name for itself in tokenization, particularly in the stablecoin space. So far, it’s only second to Ethereum (ETH) in stablecoin market cap.
The chain now has a stablecoin market cap of over $92 billion compared to Ethereum’s $149.6 billion. However, it has flipped the script in the Tether ecosystem, emerging as the top stablecoin issuer’s largest supporting chain, with $91.8 billion in USDT stablecoins flowing through its network compared to Ethereum’s $79 billion.
