- Licuido offers FCA-compliant tokenization and collateral trading solutions.
Ripple, the leading provider of cross-border payments and digital asset custody solutions, continues to reinforce its strong position in the financial market. On Monday, it announced the expansion of its existing partnerships with major players in the realms of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven FinTech and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.
Ripple’s Investments in ZILO and Licuido
Ripple disclosed that it has injected a significant investment into ZILO. The company specializes in global transfer agency, digital asset technology, and wealth solutions for asset managers. It focuses on bridging legacy systems to cutting-edge digital infrastructures.
ZILO aims to modernize its clients’ systems to enable them to scale with innovations and the evolving demand of their respective customers. Additionally, its modular system integrates AI to enhance corporate workflows, compliance measures, asset tokenization, and facilitation of cross-border payments.
The business does not disclose its total assets under management on its global platform. Nonetheless, it raised $27 million in September 2025 to accelerate its growth. Portage led the fundraise, which was also participated in by Jane Street, existing shareholders, and management.
At the same time, Ripple forged stronger ties with Licuido. The institution offers Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)-compliant tokenization and collateral trading solutions. The company’s technological framework has by far unlocked more than $10 trillion in money market fund opportunities and $20 trillion in the repo market.
Moreover, Licuido’s trading platform operates 24/7 with over 10 supported fiat currencies. Meanwhile, its network has already exceeded $100 billion in trades.
Advantages Unlocked
Furthermore, Ripple stated that the deals boost the regulated transfer agency, issuance, and collateral mobility of its infrastructure underpinned by the XRP Ledger (XRPL). It’s all about creating an extra layer of efficiency and portability across its interlinked systems with ZILO and Licuido.
Nigel Khakoo, Senior Vice President of Trading and Markets at Ripple, highlighted that their company’s partnerships with Aviva Investors, Franklin Templeton and DBS demonstrate how asset managers are focused on deploying tokenized fund structures at scale. The ZILO and Licuido partnerships build upon these connections to further accelerate deployment, trade, and management of tokenized assets, turning them into active collateral rather than letting financial resources sit idle on balance sheets.
“This is just the beginning of the journey, and we see a substantial opportunity to bring huge efficiencies to the investment sector over the next decade,” said Khakoo.
To date, XRPL has approximately $5.14 billion in RWAs. JMWH’s tokenized commodities under Justoken and the Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin dominate a significant slice of this market.
