Valhalla, Floki’s flagship play-to-earn (P2E) Web3 game, is launching an ultimate test of might for gamers. A whopping $150,000 prize pool awaits deserving participants of the platform’s first-ever official tournament.
Scheduled Events in Floki’s Valhalla Tournament
The inaugural competition will commence on Tuesday, September 30. It will start with three rounds of qualifying battle, where the game will determine the top 64 players. The system will evaluate the leaderboard based on the ELO rankings of players and damage dealt in times of tiebreaker conditions.
The ones who will make the cut will be eligible to advance to the main event from October 4 to 5. Then, the game will pit them against each other in a single-elimination bracket across six rounds. The game requires players to follow their designated queuing schedules, where they have up to 15 minutes of a grace period before getting a default loss if they fail to make it to their respective matches on time.
In the end, the top-ranked competitor will win $50,000, while the second-placer will walk out with $20,000. Meanwhile, the rest of the prize money scales down across five brackets from $10,000 to $400 from the third to the 64th position. As consolation, the top 500 players will each get $10 FLOKI tokens, subject to specific terms, including following and engaging Valhalla’s social media account on X, registering at the game’s webpage, and sharing their usernames on X.
Game Rules
To ensure fair play, Valhalla requires players to use three different Veras from their collection for each battle. Veras are creatures that players own like pets. Users can acquire them as collectible and tradeable non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The game will also disqualify players guilty of win-trading, using bug exploits, intentionally disconnecting, deliberately stalling, or using illegitimately obtained assets in-game.
The Valhalla and FLOKI Ecosystem
Valhalla is FLOKI’s flagship Web3 Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) launched on June 30. It’s inspired by Norse mythology, where players can battle and collect NFT creatures named Veras in a hexagonal arena. Like traditional MMORPGs, the game revolves around a player-driven economy with P2E features.
FLOKI, a token that combines memecoin allure and utility, powers Valhalla. The token currently has a market cap of over $778 million with over 558K holders.
