- Bitget has partnered with Switzerland-based WIW3CH to strengthen women’s participation and leadership in Web3.
- The collaboration aligns with UEX’s Blockchain4Her initiative to promote inclusivity.
Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has forged a strategic partnership with WIW3CH (Women In Web3 Switzerland), a global non-profit association, to empower women to take a more transformative role in the Web3 sector. The move ties in with the platform’s Blockchain4Her initiative, launched in 2024 to promote gender diversity, inclusion, and education in the digital asset industry.
The Bitget and WIW3CH Partnership
According to an announcement on Monday, Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, will deliver a keynote via a podcast to kickstart the partnership, detailing her professional journey in Web3. Her speech will also offer crucial insights to help women make a significant impact in the blockchain industry.
Additionally, Bitget and WIW3CH will provide participants with access to a series of educational articles. The materials include a roadmap to help them build technical literacy as they navigate the evolving Web3 landscape.
What’s more, Bitget is giving away three WIW3CH VIP memberships to lucky participants. The exclusive passes allow holders to enjoy complimentary or discounted access to masterclasses or conferences. Likewise, they serve as early access to specialized educational modules, entry to private networking channels and working groups, and priority consideration for scholarships.
Aligning with Bitget’s Blockchain4Her Initiative
Bitget’s collaboration with WIW3CH aligns with Chen’s initiatives for women in Web3, particularly Blockchain4Her. The program focuses on four key pillars, namely:
- Elevating
- Empowering
- Educating
- Embracing
Bitget recently expanded Blockchain4Her. It introduced the “Lady Forward” campaign, extending its reach to universities and launching a Female Leaders Program to connect women across the blockchain industry, from developers to investors and entrepreneurs.
So far, the program has already released grants to 11 female-led startups through the Pitch n’ Slay Competition. Meanwhile, it has reached out to hundreds of thousands of individuals through global meetups and strategic alliances.
Beyond Blockchain4Her, Bitget is currently working with UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) to equip 30,000 people, 90% of whom are women and girls, with digital and blockchain skills to enable them to succeed in the next big leap of finance.
Official Statements of Bitget and WIW3CH
“Based on my experience, authentic communities are vital for navigating this male-dominated industry,” said Chen. “They provide the safety and confidence necessary to pursue funding and decision-making roles.”
“We chose to partner with WIW3CH because of their genuine commitment to diversity; together, we can provide the high-quality resources needed to ensure female perspectives drive the next wave of innovation,” the Bitget CEO added.
“Our mission is to create a secure environment where women in technology can uplift one another through shared opportunities,” stated Aliya Das Gupta, President of WIW3CH. “Collaborating with Bitget allows us to scale our impact and equip our members with the practical, institutional insights needed to lead in this space.”
