Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has forged a partnership with the University of Geneva (UNIGE), one of the top 100 universities in the world. The collaboration allows the UEX to expand its Blockchain4Youth initiative to shape the next generation of digital pioneers.
Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth
Blockchain4Youth is part of Bitget’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). It builds on the vision that, whereas crypto natives like the UEX have already laid the foundations of Web3, the industry’s future growth belongs to an informed and empowered generation.
Now in its third year, the initiative endeavors to equip young people with foundational knowledge, hands-on experience, and global networks. Additionally, it enables them to develop independent judgment and ultimately thrive as contributors to the industry’s evolution.
The Cooperation with the University of Geneva
According to Bitget, the partnership aims to establish a long-term cooperation in Web3 education. An event based on the collab will launch on May 20 at the UNIGE campus. The initial run of what is expected to be the first of many efforts between the two institutions will focus on the fundamentals of cryptocurrency.
The program will also familiarize them with the UEX’s Blockchain4Youth program. Finally, the session will conduct a Q&A to allow students and industry specialists to share insights that advance the overarching goal of demystifying digital assets.
By addressing the student-led questions directly, representatives from Bitget and the academe can help bridge the gap between abstract theories and practical, real-world utility in Web3.
Surge in Demand for Blockchain Literacy
Bitget claimed that there’s surging demand for blockchain literacy as its adoption has moved beyond the world of finance to the core of the global industry. Moreover, Web3 no longer confines its ecosystem to digital assets, as various sectors, from healthcare to supply chain management, have learned to appreciate its applications for improving operational efficiency and transparency.
Furthermore, the company highlighted that the trend reflects a shifting job market in which the ability to audit data, track assets in real time, and build trustless systems is becoming a required skill set across every major sector.
